Green Gecko's FAQ

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s the difference between the ferry and the expedition?

The ferry is a direct 4-hour trip between El Nido and Coron with no stops. The expedition is a multi-day island-hopping journey with several stops, early morning pickup (8:30–9:30 AM) and arrival late afternoon before sunset.

What should I bring?

Bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen, a towel, and a dry bag for your daily essentials. Seal electronics, clothes, and medication inside waterproof bags, and cover luggage with plastic to protect it from water spray.

What payments are accepted?

Payment is cash only in Philippine pesos. ATMs are available in town 24/7.

What should I expect on this expedition?

Expect a raw, off-grid island experience with basic huts, shared washrooms, and remote stops not accessible by ferries. This trip focuses on exploration and simplicity, not luxury.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Trips may be delayed or adjusted due to wind, waves, or Coast Guard decisions. These situations are considered Acts of God under Philippine law. Travel insurance is recommended. Partial refunds may be possible if trip supplies were already purchased before cancellation.

What is the cancellation policy?

Same-day or night-before cancellations are treated as no-shows. Cancellations after booking confirmation may incur a 50% service fee. Confirmed reservations are considered fully earned upon final approval.

Will my belongings get wet?

Yes. The expedition is on the water for several days, so expect spray, rain, and wet conditions. Keep valuables, electronics, and documents in a secure dry bag.

Do you offer vegetarian or special meals?

Vegetarian meals are available if requested at least one day before departure. Otherwise, regular meals are served.
